Reach Beyond Counseling offers State Certified Levels 1-3 Domestic Violence Intervention Treatment, Anger Management for Non-Domestic Violence Problems, Victim Defendant/Women’s Empowerment Work, Parenting Classes, and Individual and Couples Counseling.

The Core Competencies of our program are:

• Types of Abuse: Individual and specific examples of how a participant has acknowledged that they have engaged in any cruel behaviors including but not limited to the following types of abuse: Understanding the River of Cruelty, changing shadow messages, becoming the enlightened witness in your child’s life.
  
• Belief Systems: Exploration of individual & cultural beliefs, including how those beliefs have allowed & supported cruelty including privilege or oppression. Breaking the cycle of generational cruelty by recognizing patterns and changing belief and behaviors with children.
  
• Children: Understanding how children have been impacted by witnessing abuse. Creating a safe nurturing relationship. Create a nurturing childcare plan.
  
• Accountability: Personal accountability of cruel behaviors in their past and current relationships and resulting behavioral changes that translate to children.
  
• Financial and Legal Obligations: Documentation of understanding the necessity of meeting financial & legal obligations and actions being taken to meet these requirements. What does it say to our children? Understanding impact.
  
• Empathy: Documentation of the understanding of the definition of empathy (seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another & feeling with the heart of another.) & changes in building or increasing empathy.
